The first spring exhibition of the gallery Spazio Zero ofGallarate presents the paintings of Pietro Cardone from the 14th to the 29thof April 2012, organized by Metamusa artistic and cultural events, with the patronage of the city of Gallarate, Department of Culture.
The flowers as a living nature are the protagonists of the artistic work of Pietro Cardone, where the search for forms, the use of hyperrealism of color goes beyond the strictly figurative representation to explore a prospective with shadows or lights.
His approach is deliberately, and almost obsessively, decorative. The use of oil on canvas allows him to take care of every detail such as the representation of the volume of coil, petal or leaf. Almost as a figure of cloth they appear smooth, rough, wrinkled and silky.
The subjects become macro-prospectivesto up to ten times the reality. "The art must be beautiful and pleasant, and the subject can be just an excuse. The work does not need to conceal a conceptual meaning", the artist explains.
The nature, as fixed by Cardone’s brush, comesto life; it envelops the space and completes it. In the silence, a leaf that seems immobile never really is! Everyone can find their own silence, which, perhaps, is never as it seems.
